
Prof. Ashti Doobay-Persaud
Dr. Ashti Doobay-Persaud is a Professor of Medicine in the Departments of Medicine and Medical Education at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Co-Director of the Center for Global Health Education within the Institute for Global Health. Within the Division of Hospital Medicine, she directs the section of global health. She serves as an Academic Editor at PLOS Global Health and BMC Medical Education.
She founded and directs the McGaw Global Health Clinical Scholars Program and directs the online Master of Science in Global Health. Her roles within the medical school include global and community health program leadership and teaching.
An active leader in the Consortium of Universities for Global Health, she received the Hall-Sewankambo Mid-Career Leadership Award in 2022. Her work focuses on global health pedagogy, ethical practice, curriculum development, and international faculty development, with current collaborations in Lagos advancing palliative care education, research, and implementation.
