Transport
Below are transportation options to consider for airport transfers and travel to and from the
conference venue:

Ride-Share Services

While Uber is not available in Rwanda, several alternatives provide convenient options:
• MOVE by Volkswagen Mobility Solutions:

MOVE offers newer vehicles and English-speaking drivers. Note that the app requires a local Rwandan phone number, and availability can be limited. During peak hours, pickup wait times may be 30–45 minutes.
o How to book: Download the MOVE app or call 1010.
• Yego Moto:
Yego Moto allows you to hail both regular taxis and motorbike taxis. While this app has broader vehicle availability compared to MOVE, drivers may not speak English.
o How to book:
Download the Yego Moto app or call 9191.
Taxis
• Standard Taxis:
Regular taxis are available 24/7 at Kigali International Airport. They are white with a horizontal stripe of color. Most taxis do not have meters, so it’s essential to negotiate the fare with the driver before the trip. The average fare from the airport to most hotels is
$20–$30 USD.

• ATAK Taxis:
ATAK taxis are sky blue and can be found at designated taxi ranks outside the airport’s
arrival gate.

• Yego Cabs:
For a reliable local taxi service, dial 9191 from a Rwandan phone number to book.
