Before traveling to Ethiopia, delegates are advised to review visa requirements and
ensure all necessary documentation is prepared.
Eligibility:
Delegates attending the conference should apply for a Workshop/Conference eVisa
online through the Ethiopian Immigration and Citizenship Services portal. The
Workshop/Conference eVisa is a single-entry visa, typically valid for 30 days. Validity
begins on your intended date of entry, not on the date of issuance

ensure that you complete the conference registration process to ensure that you don’t
miss out on this communication.

Processing Time:
Visa processing may take approximately 3 business days, depending on the completion
of required approvals and documentation. Delegates are encouraged to apply early to
avoid delays.
Medical Requirements
It is advised to carry your yellow fever certificate, as it may be required especially for
Yellow fever certificate required if traveling from a country with risk of yellow fever
transmission.
It is recommended to have a health insurance plan that provides coverage overseas and
supplemental insurance to cover medical evacuation.

The best way to get around Addis Ababa is by taxi. You will see various yellow taxis,
especially around hotels. You should always negotiate and be prepared to pay in, cash in
