Dr. Solomon Worku Beza

Dr. Solomon is a physician, medical educator and senior public health specialist with more than 24 years of experience in academia, clinical service, strengthening health systems and human resources for health. He holds an international master’s degree in public health and a fellow in medical education.

Dr. Solomon has led major national and international initiatives focused on health work force capacity building, and the design and implementation of innovative, competency-based education and training. His work has significantly advanced the quality of both preservice and in service education for health professionals in Ethiopia and Africa.

He has served as an advisor to the Ministry of Health and as technical director for several international NGOs. Dr. Solomon currently serves as the Strategic Regional Director for Global One Health at The Ohio State University.
