Ms. Favour Ebine

Favour Ebine is a final-year medical student at the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo State, Nigeria, with a strong interest in Obstetrics and Gynecology, medical education, and health systems development. She is passionate about building structures that support both learning and wellbeing within demanding academic environments, with a particular focus on student mental health. She has earned distinctions in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Paediatrics and is a two-time Best Abstract Award recipient, including at the BUAMS Clinical Students’ Conference and her Faculty’s Clinical Conference. She is also a student member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).

She currently serves as Welfare Director of the University of Medical Sciences Association (UMSA), where she has led mental health-focused initiatives and secured partnerships to sustain a student food bank. She is the host of Medschool Mind 101, a platform dedicated to conversations around mental health and wellbeing for medical students. She has served as Regional Director of Welfare and Hospitality for the Nigerian Medical Students’ Association (NiMSA) South-West and as pioneer Campus Lead for 4Herfrika UNIMED (2024-2025). Favour also serves as Director of Capacity Building for the Association of Future African Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AFAOG), contributes to capacity development at Equicare Strategies, and supports health initiatives through finance roles at EOhealth and SaveALifeNGR. She is a seasoned public speaker, and event planner, passionate about mental health advocacy, women’s health, gender equity, and raising resilient, well-rounded leaders.
