
Prof. Zohray Talib
Dr. Zohray Talib is Executive Vice Dean for Education and Professor of Medicine at the California University of Science and Medicine, and Founding Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda. An internist with over two decades of leadership experience, she has contributed to founding accredited medical schools in the United States and Rwanda, designing innovative, technology-forward education systems built to prepare physicians for modern practice. Across Sub-Saharan Africa, she has collaborated with medical schools on health professions education and mental health research, and serves on the boards of Aga Khan University, Consortium of New Medical Schools of Africa, and the Kibir Desta Cancer Center. As Co-Chair of the Global Forum on Innovations in Health Professions Education at the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, she convenes global leaders on the future of health workforce development. Her family roots in East Africa have inspired a personal and professional commitment to the continent.
