Dr. Peter Weinstock

Prof. Peter Weinstock, MD, PhD academic training unites philosophy, biology, medicine, surgery, and technology to optimize learning and clinical performance globally. A practicing ICU intensivist and Director of Healthcare Engineering at Boston Children's Hospital, and Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School, he has built more than 20 immersive training and technology centers across the U.S., Europe, Africa, India, and Australasia — equipping thousands of clinicians to deliver safer, higher-quality care in resource-diverse settings.

A co-founder of the field of pediatric simulation medicine, Dr. Weinstock has been a foundational mentor to UGHE's Simulation Center since 2019. In 2024, he became inaugural Chair of UGHE's Center for Transformative Learning Technologies (CTLT), leading a mission to widely deploy simulation, AI, and virtual reality in service of health equity.
