
Prof. Annettee Nakimuli
Professor Annettee Nakimuli is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Dean of the School of Medicine at Makerere University in Uganda. She is an international leader in maternal health research and has led studies that have identified genetic and acquired risk factors for preeclampsia, other adverse pregnancy outcomes, and maternal infections during pregnancy (e.g., HIV, TB, malaria, Group B streptococcal infections). She has served as site PI or co-investigator for a number of international trials to improve prediction, diagnosis and treatment of pregnancy complications. Professor Nakimuli is also President of the East Central and Southern Africa College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (ECSACOG), a body that brings together obstetricians and gynaecologists from the 14 member countries.
