Dr. Kidist Lemma Gizachew

Dr. Kidist Lemma Gizachew is a sexual and reproductive health expert with over a decade of experience as a clinician, academician, and researcher. She has played a key role in evidence generation and guideline development with WHO and UNFPA, supported quality improvement initiatives, and collaborated with SPIRHR on efforts to expand access to family planning and comprehensive abortion care in underserved regions of Ethiopia. Her work spans training health professionals, mentoring fellows, and contributing to policy and practice that strengthen health systems.  


Dr. Kidist currently serves as Head of the Family Planning and Reproductive Health Fellowship Program at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College, where she leads curriculum development, capacity building, and service strengthening to expand equitable access to sexual and reproductive health services.
