Prof. Delayehu Bekele

Professor Delayehu Bekele is a distinguished Obstetrician and Gynecologist with subspecialty expertise in Maternal–Fetal Medicine (MFM). He earned his medical degree from Gondar College of Medical Sciences, completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Addis Ababa University, and pursued MFM fellowship training at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College. He also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Gondar.

He currently serves as Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal–Fetal Medicine at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College and Director of the St. Paul Institute for Reproductive Health and Rights. With over 120 peer-reviewed publications, he has contributed extensively to maternal and reproductive health research. He has also served as President of the Ethiopian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Editor-in-Chief of the Ethiopian Journal of Reproductive Health.
