# Medical Education in Africa
> The Advancing Medical Education in Africa 2026 Conference (MedEdAfrica 2026) is set to take place from July 6-8, 2026, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This pan-African platform, co-hosted by the Ministry of Health - Ethiopia and the Consortium of Medical Schools in Africa (COMS-A), aims to foster collaboration, innovation, and leadership in health professions education. The conference theme is "Preparing Africa’s Health Workforce for an Uncertain Future: Harnessing Partnerships, Technology, Innovation, and Leadership." It brings together academic leaders, policymakers, educators, students, and partners to strengthen African-led solutions for health workforce development. MedEdAfrica 2026 focuses on implementation and partnerships to enhance training quality and health system outcomes across the continent.
